
Marlena Murphy a native of Fayetteville, N.C., earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Campbell University in 2008; and is currently earning her Master’s in Psychology from Walden University. She has experience in the fitness industry through her personal experience as an elite athlete, including earning a four-year scholarship from her alma mater, Campbell University. She was names to the All-Atlantic Sun First Team and twice named to the all-state team for North Carolina. Fit Marley was also ranked and recognized nationally for rebounding at 19th.
Upon graduating, Fit Marley began her career as a Women’s Basketball Coach for Davidson College, and would later return and coach at her alma mater, Campbell University.Marlena became a certified personal trainer at Gold’s gym, where she was later promoted to Fitness director for the facility. She became a persoanl trainer and earned her certification from NASM and IFA, and is working on her NASM ceritification as a Nutritionist.
She believes in the neccesity of advocating the importance of a healthy lifestyle that encompasses all areas of life, from physical, mental, and emotional; this creates the balance of life. Fit Marley is also a mother to her daughter, Leila. She further strives to be an example for her on the importance of health and fitness, and leading a healthy lifestyle.
Rudolph Valentine is a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield and Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2009, he graduated magnu cum laude from Methodist University with a BS degree in Exercise Science. He has over 20 years of experience in conducting one-on-one and group fitness training for children, adults, soldiers and athletes, as well as male and female body building. For 9 years he volunteered and worked part-time as a strength and conditioning and track & field coach at Pine Forest High school and Methodist University where he developed 2 state and 3 high school/collegiate national champions. He received his experience in rehabilitation from 2 years of conducting his work study and internship at the Occupational and Physical Therapy clinics at the VA hospital, in North Carolina. He also had great successes as a small business owner of an on-site personal training service, (H.O.P.E.) Helping Our People Exercise. He began by having an interest in not only helping people to lose weight, but also to help people adopt a healthier lifestyle. Therefore, he furthered his understanding and education of the physiology, biochemistry, psychology, and biomechanics of exercise and sports performance in order to become an advocate of exercise in the prevention of lifestyle-related disease in the general population.
He became a personal trainer because he believes in promoting and encouraging a positive, complete healthy lifestyle of total living in all aspects of one's life which include physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. He believes that each aspect affects each other and therefore works with each other. When a person gets sick they feel down and their psychology is down. When a person is in great physical shape, they feel upbeat, more efficient, and have the ability to more effectively handle life's ups and downs and ultimately get the most out of their lives. He loves the challenge and rewards of helping people achieve their fitness, health and nutrition goals. He also wants to be a part of helping people live healthier, happier and more successful lives. He does it for the “goal “not just the “gold”.
Mallarie Murphy Snow was born and raised in Fayetteville, N.C. She earned her Bachelor or Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Campbell University in 2011. She went on to further her education at Liberty University with a Master of Arts degree in Human Services with a concentration in Health & Wellness and graduated in the beginning of 2013. Mallarie has been involved with fitness and exercise since the age of twelve. She has experience with softball, volleyball, and basketball and has excelled in each sport with multiple accolades. She even went on to play volleyball at Campbell University.
Mallarie is currently a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym. Training individuals with different goals, aspirations, and physical abilities has truly fueled Mallarie’s passion to continue inspiring and motivating others. Building a healthy lifestyle for herself as well as her family, friends, and clients continues to ignite her and her goals to help others on their journey to live happier, and healthier lives in every aspect.
